A visit to Hof Palace enable you to go on a unique journey into the fascinating epoch of the Baroque, giving you a first-hand experience of the age. Originally created for Prince Eugene of Savoy and extending over more than 50 hectares, this elaborately laid-out conutry estate today once again emanates the imperial splendour of past ages. The imposing palace, its magnificent terraced gardens and the idyllic estate farm form an ensemble that conveys the Baroque lifestyle in all its different facets. The unique beauty of Hof Palace moved its later owner Maria Theresia to add another storey to the palace, making it the largest rural palace complex in Austria. Today it is still among the most impressive architectural ensembles of the European Baroque. The imperial family used this country seat to „afford the soul relief from the burden of ruling“ and to host elaborate festivities. Today Hof Palace again invites its visitors to set off on a journey of discovery.
